Anna Ruch is a visuals editor at The Atlantic. Prior to The Atlantic, she worked as a photo editor at The New York Times where she contributed to Live/Breaking News, Science, Climate, Culture, Styles, Cooking, and Obituaries visual coverage. Anna also worked as an editorial producer at Instagram and a photo editor and operations director at The White House Photography Office in the Obama Administration. After leaving The White House in 2017, Anna worked with refugee and migration organizations while living in Greece, Jordan, and Iraq.
Anna holds a B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University and an M.A. in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from Oxford University.
